Women have made tremendous progress in achieving higher levels of education, gaining opportunities in the workforce, and pursuing careers, while also continuing to play a vital role as mothers and caregivers. However, despite this progress, women continue to lag behind men in terms of saving and planning for retirement. A woman’s path to a secure retirement is filled with obstacles such as longer life expectancies, gender pay gap, and reduced Social Security benefits, among other differences compared to men.
It is imperative that women take greater control over their financial situation and retirement planning. The purpose of this webinar is to raise awareness of the retirement risks that women are facing and highlight opportunities for women to take greater control of their finances and their future.
The good news is that small steps, when taken together, can add up to great strides in retirement preparedness. Retirement will be unique for each woman, but the tools to help achieve retirement readiness are common to all. Now is the time for every woman to focus on achieving a financially secure retirement.
